JewishGen's Kalikow Center is the only Jewish genealogy center in a Holocaust museum in the world. In this presentation, Karen S. Franklin, Consulting Director of the KC, talked about its impact on and assistance to Museum visitors, as well as several special projects including the return of Nazi looted books and the new Jewish genealogy television show, Generations, which premiers in early March.
Karen S. Franklin is also Director of Family Research at the Leo Baeck Institute. A past President of the IAJGS, she has served as Chair of the Council of American Jewish Museums, Chair of the Memorial Museums Committee of the International Association of Museums, and Co-chair of the Board of Governors of JewishGen.org. Among many other activities, Karen is currently an Editor of the Memoir Section of Southern Jewish History.
